3. Licensing or Certification
To operate as a respite care provider in Missouri, you must be approved by the Children's Division. This involves completing specific training and meeting licensing requirements for out-of-home providers. A license is not explicitly required for in-home respite care, but approval is necessary.
4. Responsible State Agency
The Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division is responsible for approving respite care providers

7. Timeline for Approval
The application process must be completed within 90 days. This includes home visits and background checks

Applicants must complete Introduction to Foster Care and Respite Care Provider Training before providing services. This training is part of the approval process
